Fontana is a city of 200,00 people in the southwest corner of San Bernardino County at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains. It's home to Center Stage Theater, a beautiful Art Deco theater built in the 1930s, and the brand-new, state-of-the-art Steelworkers Auditorium. The city is also home to the Auto Club Speedway, which hosts a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series qualifying race. South Fontana homes are close to the Jurupa Hills Trail, which traverses Martin Tudor-Jurupa Hills Regional Park.
Fontana Unified School District serves most children who live in Fontana homes. As of September 2015, qualifying FUSD high school graduates are guaranteed admission to Cal Poly Pomona, a nearby university renowned for its architecture, engineering and agriculture colleges.
Downtown is home to hundreds of great restaurants and locally-owned businesses within walking distance of affordable Fontana real estate, like Casa Barreto, which makes its tortillas and sauces by hand. The City Council and Chamber of Commerce are busy hosting events to gather residents, non-profits and local business owners together. Every year the Chamber of Commerce hosts a Mayor's Gala benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of Fontana and the Lobtober Fest promoting Disability Awareness.
